Move over, Blue Bottle
Ok, so I know that I Blue Bottle Coffee is locally brewed here in SF…and yes, it’s delicious and worth an extra 5 block walk past Starbucks or Pete’s any day!! But this morning my San Francisco affections were deepened when I learned that Specialities is now serving Intelligentsia coffee! Now, I am an SF native, so don’t go throwing verbal punches at me when I say this…(I know the NorCal/SoCal rivalries run deep)…but I lived in Silverlake in Los Angeles for 6 years, and I think anyone who has sampled the brewings at Intelligentsia (with their $16,000 brewing machine) would tell you that it’s probably the best cup of Jo’ they’ve ever had. I’ll let you decide for yourselves….
